Called in on a cold October day. Very welcoming, dog friendly and excellent food. Would recommend the fish sharing platter for two, as would my three dogs!

Came here yesterday (armed forces day) and scarbrough was PACKED. all staff here managed to keep pushing through the heat and carnage and kept a smile on there face. Extra big shout out to Mason!!! What an absolutely gorgeous and polite young man you are. I hope both you and your manager see this! If the manager does, give that boy a raise to make sure you keep hold of him! Cause he will generate so many loyal and happy customers! If you're a competing food venue reading this...poach him!!!!! The salt and pepper squid here, is absolutely to die for!!! Chups arent to greasy. Highly recommend. The restaurant itself could do with a spruce up as looks a bit dated. But over all extremely clean and pleasant

Been several times and always left happy. Great value at £15 for fish and chips, mushy pees, bread and butter and a cup of tea and a dessert. . Dog friendly also

We came for dinner on Sunday with my sister and our two dogs what a lovely place it is. We had cod and chips was cooked to perfection. The service was really good and so friendly. Our dogs even got a sausage at end so kind of them. Will definitely return when in Scarborough

Just a had the fish and chips deal with pot of tea and dessert, really enjoyable and good value. Marco Pierre White would be proud (see Antony Bourdain). The staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. Highly recommend for traditional English food by the sea.

Very good place to eat in. Good service, great atmosphere and wonderful staff is there. We really enjoyed our meal and our little boy found this place very interesting. Food was home made and freshly cooked. Well deserved 5 stars!

On a bitterly cold day in March, we were looking for a dog friendly cafe where we could eat indoors. The Welcome Inn was a good choice. The food was cooked fresh and very well presented. The prices were a bit on the expensive side but the food was very tasty. I've marked it down as they were a bit slow to take our order. And the interior was cramped. Our four legged friend enjoyed being fed the odd couple of chips as she sat under the table.
